(English below) Nel mese di maggio l’Università di Pavia è stata coinvolta in molte attività dell’Alleanza EC2U, tra cui alcune ancora da svolgersi, che hanno visto la partecipazione di studenti, docenti, staff universitario, ma anche rappresentanti del Comune di Pavia e di associazioni del territorio.
Sono, quindi, diverse le iniziative a cui prendere parte e ispirazione per costruire una comunità sempre più unita e focalizzata al raggiungimento degli UNSDGs. Di seguito vi riportiamo il ricco calendario di eventi EC2U.
- Salute mentale e benessere psicologico: come stanno i giovani?
Nelle giornate del 17 aprile, 4 maggio e 17 maggio, EC2U, nell’ambito del work package n.4 dedicato a “Health and well-being”, ha organizzato insieme alla Fondazione Soleterre incontri dedicati alla creazione di uno spazio di dialogo tra giovani e professionisti sugli aspetti della salute mentale e del benessere psicologico nei giovani under 35.
- EC2U Students week
Dal 2 al 4 maggio 115 studenti dell’Alleanza EC2U, di cui 18 studenti di Unipv, accompagnati da un membro dello staff, referente del work package n.2 dedicato a “Culture & Campus Life”, si sono riuniti presso l’Università di Coimbra, in Portogallo, per vivere la prima EC2U students week, e cimentarsi in diverse attività di scambio e condivisione su cultura, sport, tradizioni, all’interno dell’obiettivo comune (e slogan dell’evento) “Sharing vision together”.
- ESN Pavia compie 30 anni
Dal 9 al 13 maggio S.T.E.P. ESN Pavia, partner associato di EC2U, ha celebrato i suoi 30 anni attraverso una settimana ricca di eventi. Il team EC2U di Pavia ha collaborato ai festeggiamenti partecipando alla mobility fair e alla conferenza dedicata al valore delle mobilità Erasmus+ nella vita degli studenti universitari; ha registrato inoltre uno speciale podcast insieme a S.T.E.P. ESN Pavia proprio sui vantaggi e i cambiamenti che offre la mobilità Erasmus e EC2U.
L’evento ha inoltre ospitato 20 studenti dalle altre università EC2U.
- European Student Assembly
Dal 31 maggio al 2 giugno, 2 studenti Unipv, selezionati tra più di 200 candidature, parteciperanno all’European Student Assembly (ESA). ESA è un progetto realizzato e gestito da un comitato direttivo composto da studenti e membri del personale accademico e non accademico provenienti da diversi istituti di istruzione superiore, che riunisce ogni anno studenti da tutta Europa per discutere ed elaborare raccomandazioni politiche per il futuro del continente.

- EC2U Forum a Jena
Inizierà lunedì 22 maggio il 6° Forum EC2U presso l’Università di Jena, il regolare incontro della comunità EC2U, che è anche momento di confronto con associazioni e cittadinanza locale, sui temi dell’Alleanza e i valori Europei su cui è fondata.
Parteciperà un’ampia delegazione di docenti e staff amministrativo dell’Università di Pavia, guidata dalla Prorettrice all’Internazionalizzazione Prof.ssa Antonella Forlino e dalla Delegata al Public Engagement Prof.ssa Bottini, oltre a rappresentanti del Comune di Pavia e 8 studenti selezionati, per i quali è dedicato uno speciale programma.

- Healthy Campus Summer School
Dal 22 al 25 maggio si svolgerà, in sinergia con il 6° Forum EC2U e la Settimana della salute dell’Università di Jena, l’Healthy Campus Summer School, rivolto a studenti delle 7 università EC2U e focalizzato sul benessere fisico e mentale. Unipv parteciperà con una delegazione di 7 studenti e 3 relatori del corpo docente.

- Phd intensive programme “Machine learning technique & text processing tools”
Si svolgerà infine, dal 6 all’8 giugno, il PhD training course, organizzato da Unipv (Referente Prof.ssa Jezek) in collaborazione con l’Università di Poitiers e l’Università di Turku, all’interno del Virtual institute for Quality Education, nella cornice storica dell’Università di Pavia, che prevede lezioni e workshop su digital linguistics machine learning, text processing tools, translation technologies. Oltre agli studenti selezionati da Unipv, saranno ospitati fino a 5 studenti da ogni università partner EC2U.

- EC2U Career Talk
Lunedì 29 maggio l’Università di Pavia ospiterà il suo primo EC2U Career Talk: Mattia Ferretti, alumnus UNIPV e ospite di questo incontro, racconterà la sua esperienza di giovane imprenditore di successo. EC2U Career Talk è una serie di webinar in cui è possibile incontrare virtualmente alumni di ciascuna delle sette università EC2U e conoscere i loro percorsi di carriera da diverse prospettive.

May, an eventful month for EC2U
In May, the University of Pavia was involved in many activities of the EC2U Alliance, some of which have yet to be carried out, which saw the participation of students, teachers and administrative staff, but also of local associations and the Municipality of Pavia.
Therefore, there are various initiatives to take part in and inspiration, to build an increasingly united community focused on achieving the UNSDGs. Below we present the rich calendar of the events by EC2U.
– Mental health and psychological well-being: how are young people doing?
On 17 April, 4 May and 17 May, EC2U, as part of work package no. 4 dedicated to “Health and well-being”, organised together with the Soleterre Foundation meetings dedicated to the creation of a space for dialogue between young people and professionals on aspects of mental health and psychological well-being in young people under 35.
– EC2U Students week

– ESN Pavia turns 30
From 9 to 13 May S.T.E.P. ESN Pavia, EC2U associate partner, celebrated its 30th anniversary through a week full of events. The EC2U team from Pavia collaborated in the celebrations by participating in the mobility fair and conference dedicated to the value of Erasmus+ mobility in the life of university students; they also recorded a special podcast together with S.T.E.P. ESN Pavia about the advantages and changes offered by Erasmus and EC2U mobility.
The event also hosted 20 students from other EC2U universities.
– European Student Assembly
From 31 May to 2 June, 2 Unipv students, selected from more than 200 applications, will participate in the European Student Assembly (ESA). ESA is a project implemented and managed by a steering committee made up of students and academic and non-academic staff members from different higher education institutions, which brings together students from all over Europe every year to discuss and elaborate policy recommendations for the future of the continent.

– EC2U Forum in Jena
The 6th EC2U Forum at the University of Jena, the regular meeting of the EC2U community, which is also an opportunity for discussion with local associations and citizens, on the themes of the Alliance and the European values on which it is founded, will begin on Monday 22 May.
A large delegation of professors and administrative staff from the University of Pavia will participate, led by the Pro-Rector for Internationalization Prof. Antonella Forlino and the Delegate for Public Engagement Prof. Bottini, as well as representatives of the Municipality of Pavia and 8 selected students, for which a special program is dedicated.
The public sessions of the Forum will also be available in streaming on the youtube channel.

– Healthy Campus Summer School
From 22 to 25 May, in synergy with the 6th EC2U Forum and the Health Week of the University of Jena, the Healthy Campus Summer School will take place, aimed at students of the 7 EC2U universities and focused on physical and mental well-being. Unipv will participate with a delegation of 7 students and 3 lecturers from the teaching staff.

– Phd intensive programme “Machine learning techniques & text processing tools”
Finally, from 6 to 8 June, the PhD training course, organised by Unipv (contact person Prof. Jezek) in cooperation with the University of Poitiers and the University of Turku, will take place within the Virtual institute for Quality Education, in the historical setting of the University of Pavia. It will include lectures and workshops on digital linguistics machine learning, text processing tools, and translation technologies. In addition to the students selected by Unipv, up to 5 students from each EC2U partner university will be hosted.
– EC2U Career Talk
On Monday, May 29th the University of Pavia will host his first EC2U Career Talk: Mattia Ferretti, a UNIPV alumnus, will talk about his experience as a young and successful entrepreneur. EC2U Career Talk is a webinar series where you will meet alumni from each of the seven EC2U universities and learn about their career paths from different perspectives.
