Di seguito le “FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions”, aggiornate al 19 marzo 2020 con nuovi contenuti approvati dall’Unità di Crisi. (English below)
1) L’UNIVERSITÀ RESTA CHIUSA?
L’Università degli Studi di Pavia è aperta, ma, fino a nuove disposizioni, l’attività didattica in presenza è sospesa e tutti gli incontri pubblici sono rinviati. Da lunedì 2 marzo è iniziata la didattica a distanza, con lezioni ed esami in via telematica.
2) GLI UFFICI SONO APERTI?
Gli uffici sono funzionanti e il personale al lavoro, preferibilmente tramite modalità telematiche. Gli sportelli a contatto con il pubblico sono però accessibili soltanto telefonicamente oppure via mail. Particolarmente utili per gli studenti sono il servizio Filo Diretto con la Segreteria Studenti e la Linea Diretta dell’EDiSU.
3.1) LE BIBLIOTECHE E I MUSEI SONO APERTI?
Sulla base delle disposizioni del dPCM 8 marzo 2020, i Musei dell’Università sono chiusi fino al 3 aprile. Così come, per ragioni di cautela, sono chiusi al pubblico gli Archivi (Archivio Storico e Centro Manoscritti).
Le Biblioteche invece stanno attuando un piano straordinario per prestito e altri servizi “senza contatto”.
3.2) LE MENSE SONO APERTE?
Sì, ma non tutte e solo per pranzo.
Le mense aperte sono: Fraccaro (dal lunedì al sabato), Cravino (tutti i giorni compresa domenica), Mensa Centrale – piano terra (dal lunedì al venerdì). Sono adottate misure di scaglionamento degli ingressi.
Dal 10 marzo 2020, presso le Mense Fraccaro e Cravino gli studenti possono ritirare, nella fascia oraria dedicata al pranzo, un secondo pasto da asporto, da consumarsi a cena. La registrazione del secondo pasto avviene con un secondo passaggio del tesserino di riconoscimento nella fascia oraria del pranzo.
Gli studenti ospiti di un collegio EDiSU, possono ritirare gratuitamente il secondo pasto da asporto per la sera. Tale secondo pasto viene erogato senza il passaggio del tesserino di riconoscimento, ma mediante registrazione su apposito modulo di autodichiarazione di ospitalità in Collegio EDiSU.
4) LE AULE STUDIO E GLI ALTRI SPAZI PER STUDIARE SONO APERTI?
No: al fine di evitare gli assembramenti, le aule studio e gli spazi interni delle biblioteche dell’Ateneo non sono accessibili. È infatti fondamentale restare a casa, salvo per esigenze particolari e motivate.
5) COME FUNZIONANO LE LEZIONI A DISTANZA?
Tutti gli insegnamenti sono erogati a distanza. I docenti, in linea generale, provvedono a caricare su Kiro la lezione in formato audio (podcast) o video, con l’eventuale supporto di slide e altro materiale didattico. L’Ateneo ha realizzato un tutorial diretto agli studenti e ai docenti, per spiegare il funzionamento della piattaforma.
I docenti che utilizzano applicativi diversi da Kiro (es. Zoom, Skype, Teams,…) lo comunicano agli studenti interessati.
Inoltre, l’Ateneo ha recentemente messo a disposizione KiroLive: una piattaforma per lezioni in diretta streaming, supportata direttamente dal “Servizio Innovazione didattica e Comunicazione digitale”.
6.1) COME FUNZIONANO GLI APPELLI ORALI?
Gli esami orali si stanno svolgendo con modalità a distanza (generalmente via Skype, Google Hangouts oppure Microsoft Teams), senza richiedere la presenza fisica dello studente. All’esaminando potrà essere richiesta l’esibizione di un documento di riconoscimento. Anche la discussione del compito scritto potrà svolgersi a distanza, anche per via telefonica, al fine di consentire la verbalizzazione del voto.
In tutti i casi, bisognerà essere iscritti all’appello tramite la propria area riservata, come di consueto. Il docente contatterà gli studenti per fornire tutte le indicazioni necessarie sullo svolgimento della prova.
Alla ripresa delle attività in presenza, si ipotizza di aprire le strutture anche di sabato, per limitare i disagi e recuperare gli esami impossibili da recuperare telematicamente. Nel fissare le date degli esami in presenza i docenti adotteranno in ogni caso opportuni accorgimenti onde consentire ai candidati di religione ebraica che ne facciano richiesta di sostenere in altro giorno prove di esame fissate in giorno di sabato.
6.2) GLI APPELLI SCRITTI SARANNO SVOLTI?
L’Ateneo sta identificando la metodologia atta a consentire, al più presto, la ripresa degli esami scritti in modalità a distanza.
Entro pochi giorni saranno pubblicate le relative linee-guida.
7.1) COME SI SVOLGONO GLI ESAMI DI LAUREA?
Gli esami di laurea si svolgono in modalità a distanza (ad es. via Skype).
I membri della Commissione partecipano alla seduta collegandosi separatamente da remoto; al laureando vengono comunicati modi e tempi del collegamento.
Si sta valutando la possibilità di organizzare una cerimonia di proclamazione alla ripresa delle attività didattiche.
L’Ateneo ha stabilito che la presentazione della domanda di laurea, della tesi e di tutti gli altri documenti necessari avvenga online, tramite l’area riservata di ogni studente.
7.2) CI SI PUÒ LAUREARE AD APRILE? E A GIUGNO INVECE?
Se i dipartimenti hanno in calendario un appello di laurea ad aprile, di norma questo sarà conservato e si svolgerà nella data indicata.
Considerato però che l’art. 101 del d.l. 18/2020 ha prorogato il termine ultimo per laurearsi in corso al 15 giugno 2020, ai dipartimenti sarà chiesto di organizzare una seduta di laurea straordinaria a ridosso di questa data.
8) INVECE PER GLI ESAMI DI LAUREA ABILITANTE E PER GLI ESAMI DI STATO?
Per effetto dell’art. 102 del d.l. 18/2020, il conseguimento della laurea magistrale a ciclo unico in Medicina e Chirurgia – Classe LM/41 abilita all’esercizio della professione di medico-chirurgo. Per esercitare la professione rimane però l’obbligo di aver ottenuto un giudizio positivo del tirocinio pratico-valutativo e di essere iscritti all’Ordine dei Medici.
9) COSA SUCCEDE ALLE ATTIVITÀ POST LAUREA?
Le disposizioni di sospensione delle attività didattiche si applicano anche alle attività post-laurea. I corsi del PF24 vengono erogati in modalità telematica.
10) I TIROCINI SONO SOSPESI?
Sì: tutti i tirocini (curricolari, extra-curricolari e professionalizzati) sono sospesi fino a data da destinarsi in quanto assimilabili ad attività didattica. In particolare, per i tirocini delle professioni sanitarie (inclusi quelli svolti presso i Medici di Medicina Generale) e per scienze motorie, la sospensione è motivata anche dal fatto che questi potrebbero svolgersi in ambienti a rischio contagio.
Le indicazioni precedenti non si applicano quando il tirocinio viene svolto con modalità telematiche a distanza.
Per la Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia, l’Ateneo si sta organizzando con simulatori virtuali per consentire esercitazioni online.
Gli specializzandi sono invece considerati come lavoratori e si attengono alle decisioni comunicate dai Direttori delle Scuole. Agli specializzandi vanno sempre garantite adeguate condizioni di sicurezza e igiene personali, tra cui i prescritti Dispositivi di Protezione Individuale.
11) LAUREANDI (TESISTI), DOTTORANDI, BORSISTI E ASSEGNISTI DI RICERCA, POSSONO SVOLGERE LA LORO ATTIVITÀ IN ATENEO?
I laureandi (anche se tesisti) sono studenti e, pertanto, la loro attività didattica in presenza è integralmente sospesa fino al 3 aprile. Per questo motivo, un laureando non può fino a tale data svolgere l’internato di tesi in laboratorio oppure un’attività di consultazione all’interno delle biblioteche.
Sulla base dell’evoluzione dell’epidemia, tale divieto vale attualmente anche per le attività in presenza di tutto il personale non strutturato dell’Ateneo: dottorandi di ricerca, borsisti e assegnisti di ricerca che, pertanto, non potranno accedere a strutture quali laboratori, biblioteche e studi nelle sedi dell’Università di Pavia.
12.1) SI PUÒ PARTIRE PER L’ERASMUS?
No: tutte le mobilità internazionali in entrata e in uscita che avrebbero dovuto iniziare in questi giorni sono bloccate fino a nuova comunicazione.
12.2) COSA DEVE FARE UNO STUDENTE ALL’ESTERO?
Se ci si trova all’estero, si raccomanda agli studenti di seguire scrupolosamente le disposizioni in materia di prevenzione e sicurezza prescritte dalle istituzioni locali. Suggeriamo inoltre di iscriversi al servizio “Dove siamo nel mondo” e di seguire la situazione sul sito “Viaggiare Sicuri” nel quale sono anche disponibili i recapiti delle autorità consolari italiane, le quali possono essere contattate per valutare la fattibilità e la pericolosità di un rientro in Italia.
Per gli studenti in Erasmus, sarà possibile fare richiesta all’Agenzia Nazionale, nelle forme e con le modalità che saranno successivamente comunicate, chiedendo l’applicazione della clausola di “forza maggiore”, relativamente alle attività e ai costi per tutte quelle mobilità che vengano annullate in ragione della situazione di emergenza e dei provvedimenti delle competenti autorità.
L’Università di Pavia si impegna a reintegrare nei corsi del loro piano di studi originario gli studenti che interrompono la mobilità, senza alcuna penalizzazione.
13) QUANDO SCADE LA TERZA RATA E GLI ALTRI TERMINI?
L’Università di Pavia ha prorogato al 30 maggio 2020 la scadenza della 3^ rata della contribuzione universitaria per l’anno accademico 2019/20 per i corsi di laurea e di laurea magistrale.
È invece sospesa la scadenza per la presentazione delle iscrizioni all’a.a. successivo da parte degli studenti che intendono richiedere l’esonero nella misura del 75% (la scadenza verrà determinata con successivo provvedimento).
Alla prossima riunione del Consiglio di Amministrazione verrà proposto di prorogare al 30 maggio 2020 anche i termini per il pagamento della seconda rata di iscrizione ai corsi Post Laurea PF24 e alla Scuola di specializzazione per le professioni legali.
14) QUALI MISSIONI FUORI SEDE SONO AUTORIZZATE?
Possono essere autorizzate sole le missioni motivate da ragioni di necessità ed urgenza, e in cui sia possibile e previsto l’esclusivo uso del proprio automezzo, e siano garantite le prescrizioni di igiene e sicurezza del dPCM dell’8 marzo 2020. Non possono essere autorizzate missioni in cui sia previsto l’uso di mezzo pubblico.
15) COME AVVIENE IL RICEVIMENTO DEGLI STUDENTI?
Il ricevimento degli studenti, compresi i laureandi, avviene a distanza (ad esempio via Skype o telefonicamente). Lo studente concorderà con il docente le modalità attraverso mail.
16) È ANCORA APERTO LO SPORTELLO PER GLI STUDENTI INTERNAZIONALI PRESSO LA QUESTURA?
No, a seguito delle disposizioni governative, lo sportello è chiuso sino al 3 aprile. Al fine di assicurare comunque il servizio è possibile contattare il personale dell’HelpDesk scrivendo a permesso.soggiorno@unipv.it e allegando il passaporto con visto di studio o permesso di soggiorno (in caso di rinnovo).
Tutti gli appuntamenti fissati dalle Poste saranno rinviati e gli utenti riceveranno un sms con cui verrà data nuova convocazione in Questura.
17) SONO PREVISTI INTERVENTI A FAVORE DEL BENESSERE PSICO-FISICO DI DIPENDENTI E STUDENTI?
Il CUS Pavia e il Laboratorio di Attività Motoria Adattata (LAMA) insieme al Corso di laurea in Scienze Motorie hanno messo a disposizione due serie di video che consentono di effettuare attività fisica in casa.
Altri interventi sono in preparazione e presto verranno annunciati.

1) IS THE UNIVERSITY CLOSED?
The University of Pavia is open, but, until April 3, face-to-face teaching is suspended and all public meetings are postponed. Distance teaching began on Monday 2 March, with online lessons and exams.
2) ARE OFFICES OPEN?
The offices are operational and the staff at work, preferably via telematic means. Offices usually open to receive persons, however, are accessible only by phone or email. Particularly useful for students there are the Direct Line with the Student Office and the Direct Line with EDISU.
3.1) ARE LIBRARIES AND MUSEUMS OPEN?
Based on the provisions of the Government Decree of March 8, 2020, the University Museums are closed until April 3, as well as the Archives (Historical Archives and Manuscript Center) are closed to the public.
Libraries, on the other hand, are implementing an extraordinary plan for loans and other “contactless” services.
3.2) ARE CANTEENS OPEN?
Yes, but not all and only for lunch.
The canteens open are: Fraccaro (from Monday to Saturday), Cravino (every day including Sunday), Central Canteen – ground floor (from Monday to Friday). Staggering measures of the entrances are adopted in order to avoid crowd.
From 10 March 2020, at the Canteen Fraccaro and Cravino, students can pick up, in the time slot dedicated to lunch, a second takeaway meal, to be eaten for dinner. The registration of the second meal can be done by badging for a second time the canteen card at lunch.
Students who are guests of an EDiSU College can collect the second takeaway meal for the evening free of charge. This second meal is delivered without badging again the card, but by registration on a special self-declaration form of hospitality in the EdiSU College.
4) ARE THE CLASSROOMS AND OTHER SPACES TO STUDY OPEN?
No: in order to avoid crowded places, the study rooms and the internal spaces of the University libraries are not accessible. It is indeed essential to stay at home, except for special and motivated needs.
5) HOW DO THE DISTANCE LESSONS WORK?
All courses are delivered remotely. Professors generally upload the lesson to Kiro in audio (podcast) or video format, with the possible support of slides and other teaching materials. The University has created a tutorial aimed at students and lecturer, to explain how the platform works.
Teachers who use applications other than Kiro (eg Zoom, Skype, Teams, …) tell it to their students.
In addition, the University recently made available KiroLive: a platform for live streaming lessons, directly supported by the “Educational Innovation and Digital Communication Service”.
6.1) HOW DO ORAL EXAMS WORK?
Oral exams are taking place remotely (generally via Skype, Google Hangouts or Microsoft Teams), without requiring the physical presence students. The examination may require the presentation of an identification document. The discussion of the written task may also take place remotely, also by telephone, in order to allow the vote to be recorded.
In all cases, it will be necessary to be enrolled in the appeal through your own reserved area, as usual. The professor will contact the students to provide all the necessary information to take the test.
On resuming face-to-face activities, the University might open the facilities also on Saturdays, to limit the inconvenience and recover the tests that cannot be taken electronically. To schedule the dates of face-to-face exams, professors will in any case take appropriate precautions to allow Jewish candidates, who request it, to take the exam on another day than Saturday.
6.2) WILL THE WRITTEN EXAMS BE CARRIED OUT?
The University is identifying the methodology to allow, as soon as possible, the resumption of written exams, which will be carried out online. The guidelines will be published within a few days.
7.1) HOW ARE GRADUATION EXAMS CARRIED OUT?
They take place remotely (e.g. via Skype).
The Commission members participate in the session by connecting separately remotely; the connection methods and time are communicated to the graduating student.
The University is considering the possibility of organizing proclamation ceremonies, at the resumption of educational activities.
The University has established that the submission of the graduation application, the thesis and all other necessary documents must be carried out online, through the reserved area of each student.
7.2) WILL IT BE POSSIBLE TO GRADUATE IN APRIL? AND IN JUNE?
If the departments have a graduation session scheduled for April, this will normally be kept and will take place on the date indicated.
However, considering that art. 101 of the legislative decree 18/2020 has extended the deadline to graduate on 15 June 2020, departments will be asked to organize an extraordinary graduation session close to this date.
8) WHAT ABOUT THE ENABLING DEGREE EXAMS AND STATE EXAMS?
As a result of art. 102 of the legislative decree 18/2020, graduating in Medicine and Surgery – Class LM / 41 – enables the exercise of the profession of doctor-surgeon. To exercise the profession, however, it is necessary to have obtained a positive assessment of the practical-evaluation internship and to be enrolled in the Order of Doctors.
9) WHAT HAPPENS TO POST DEGREE ACTIVITIES?
The provisions for the suspension of teaching activities also apply to postgraduate activities. The PF24 courses are offered out online.
10) ARE THE INTERNSHIPS SUSPENDED?
Yes: all internships (curricular, extra-curricular and professionalized) are suspended until a date to be decided, as they can be assimilated to teaching activities. In particular, the suspension of the internships of the health professions (including those carried out with General Practitioners) and of sport sciences is also motivated by the fact that these could take place in environments at risk of contagion.
For the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, the University is creating virtual simulators to allow online exercises.
Specializing doctor are, instead, considered as workers and comply with the decisions communicated by the Directors of the Schools. Trainees must always be guaranteed adequate personal safety and hygiene conditions, including the prescribed Personal Protective Equipment.
11) CAN GRADUATING (THESISTS) STUDENTS, PHD STUDENTS, SCHOLARSHIP AND RESEARCH ASSISTANTS, PERFORM THEIR ACTIVITIES AT THE UNIVERSITY?
Graduating students (even if they are writing the final thesis) are students and, therefore, their activity in the presence is fully suspended until April 3. For this reason, a graduating student cannot until that date carry out the internship of a thesis in the laboratory or a consultation activity in libraries.
Based on the evolution of the epidemic, this prohibition currently applies also to activities in the presence of all the unstructured staff of the University: PhD students, fellows and research fellows who, therefore, will not be able to access facilities such as laboratories, libraries and studies in the offices of the University of Pavia.
12.1) IS IT POSSIBILE TO GO ABROAD WITH ERASMUS PROGRAM?
No: all international incoming and outgoing mobilities that should have started in these days are blocked until further notice.
12.2) WHAT SHOULD DO A STUDENT WHO IS ABROAD?
Students abroad are recommended to scrupulously follow the prevention and safety prescriptions indicated by local institutions. We also suggest that you register here and follow the situation on “Viaggiare Sicuri” page where the contact details of the Italian consular authorities, who can be contacted to assess the possibility of returning in Italy.are available.
For Erasmus students, it will be possible to request the National Agency, in the forms and the methods that will be subsequently communicated, requesting the application of the “force majeure” clause, in order to obtain the refund for the costs of all those mobility that are canceled due to the emergency situation and to the measures of the competent authorities.
The University of Pavia will reintegrate students who stop mobility into the courses of their original study plan without any penalty.
13) WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO PAY THE THIRD INSTALLMENT OF UNIVERSITY FEE AND OF OTHER FEES?
The University of Pavia has extended the expiration of the 3rd installment of the University fee for 2019/20 academic year for both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree programs to the 30th of May 2020.
For students who are going to request a 75% fee exemption, the deadline for applying for the next academic year is temporary suspended (the deadline will be determined by a subsequent provision).
The next Board of Directors will propose to extend until the 30th of May 2020 the terms for the payment of the second installment for the PF24 Post Degree courses and to the Specialization School for the legal professions.
14) WHAT TRAVELS ARE AUTHORIZED?
Only those ones motivated by reasons of necessity and urgency can be authorized, and where the exclusive use of your vehicle is possible, and the hygiene and safety requirements of the Government Decree of March 8, 2020 are guaranteed. They cannot be authorized missions in which the use of public transport is to be used.
15) HOW DO STUDENTS CAN TALK TO PROFESSORS?
Remotely (for example via Skype or telephone). The student will agree with the professor the modalities by e-mail.
16) IS SECTION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS STILL OPEN AT THE QUESTURA?
No, following government regulations, the counter is closed until April 3. In order to ensure the service, however, you can contact the HelpDesk staff by writing to permesso.soggiorno@unipv.it and attaching the passport with a study visa or residence permit (in case of renewal).
All appointments set by the post office will be postponed and students will receive a text message with a new appointment at Questura.
17) ARE THERE INTERVENTIONS TO SUPPORT THE PSYCHO-PHYSICAL WELLBEING OF EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS?
CUS Pavia and the Laboratory of Adapted Motor Activities (LAMA) together with the Degree Course in Sport Sciences have realized two series of videos that allow you to perform physical activity at home.
Other interventions are in preparation and will be announced soon.
