(English below – The University of Pavia participates in the European week of waste reduction) Dopo il successo della partecipazione dell’Università di Pavia alla Settimana Europea per la Riduzione dei Rifiuti (SERR) dello scorso anno, in cui l’Ateneo è stato premiato nella categoria delle pubbliche amministrazioni, quest’anno l’Università parteciperà nuovamente coinvolgendo le 7 Università partner dell’alleanza EC2U, oltre ad altre realtà locali e associazioni studentesche.
L’obiettivo è quello di promuovere i green nudges, per questo l’Università di Pavia ha lanciato una call to action durante il 5° Forum EC2U tenutosi ad ottobre in Romania presso l’Università di Iaşi, per organizzare una campagna di sensibilizzazione congiunta durante la SERR.
L’azione di quest’anno si concentrerà sul tema dei rifiuti tessili e della moda sostenibile: #wasteisoutoffashion. Il programma, co-organizzato dall’ufficio GLOBEC e OSA di Unipv, inizia il 19 novembre 2022 con una conferenza nell’Aula Magna dell’Università e uno swap party e continua con due workshop dedicati al riciclo creativo di tessuti. Di seguito l’agenda, siete tutti invitati a partecipare!
Programma e link di registrazione:
- Sabato, 19 novembre dalle ore 16:00
Conferenza in Aula Magna dell’Università dalle 16:00 alle 17:00, che ospiterà esperti del mondo accademico, green influencer e imprenditori sostenibili locali.
Swap Party dalle 17:00 alle 19:00, presso il bar dell’Università (Cortile di Scienze Politiche). Mi raccomando porta abiti che vorresti scambiare/donare! Gli abiti che non verranno scambiati saranno donati all’Ucraina attraverso il progetto BridgeNET, coordinato dall’Università di Pavia.
La giornata si concluderà con un drink di networking e musica per tutti.
- Sabato 26 novembre dalle ore 17:00
Laboratorio di cucito: “Recuperare e reinventare un capo di abbigliamento: C’è un buco nei tuoi vestiti o una cerniera rotta? Ripara! Non buttarlo via !” – organizzato presso il Circolo d’acqua, sezione ARCI. Portate i vostri vestiti rotti/che non usate più e insieme cercheremo di dar loro una seconda vita.
Il workshop sarà aperto da un green influencer, Andrea Grieco, che registrerà un podcast durante l’evento. Alle 19:00 sarà offerta ai partecipanti un’apericena vegana di networking. Workshop riservato a 15 persone: registratevi!
- Sabato 3 dicembre dalle ore 16:30
Imballaggi tessili creativi: “Confezioni natalizie creative e sostenibili” – organizzato dall’associazione ligure Sfuso Diffuso presso la libreria “Il Delfino”, che per l’occasione allestirà un angolo dedicato ai libri incentrati sui temi della sostenibilità. Alla sessione seguirà un happy hour di networking offerto ai partecipanti al bar Loft. Workshop riservato a 20 persone: registratevi!

The University of Pavia participates in the European week of waste reduction
After last year’s success of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), during which our university have been awarded for its public administration organization, this year the University of Pavia is going to participate again, in collaboration with the other 7 universities of the EC2U alliance and different local businesses and students associations.
The aim is to promote the green nudges. University of Pavia launched a call to action during the 5th EC2U Forum held in October by the university of Iaşi in Romania in order to organize a common awareness campaign during the EWWR.
This year focus will be on textile waste and fast-fashion: #wasteisoutoffashion. The event, co-organized by the UNIPV offices GLOBEC and OSA, will start on 19th of November with a conference in ‘Aula Magna’ followed by a swap party and two workshops focused on textile creative recycling. You can find the agenda below, all of you are welcome to participate!

- Saturday, 19th of November
From 4pm to 5pm: conference in ‘Aula Magna’ which will be held by academic experts, green influencers and local sustainable entrepreneurs.
From 5pm to 7pm: Swap Party at the University bar (Political Science courtyard). Remember to bring your clothes, the one you would like to barter/donate! All the clothes that will not be bartered will be sent to Ukraine through the BridgeNET project coordinated by Unipv.
From 7pm on: the day will end with a networking drink and music for everyone.
- Saturday, 26th of NovemberAt 5pm: sewing workshop “Recuperare e reinventare un capo di abbigliamento: C’è un buco nei tuoi vestiti o una cerniera rotta? Ripara! Non buttarlo via!” – organized at the ‘Circolo d’acqua, sezione ARCI’. Bring your broken clothes or the ones that you do not use anymore and together we’ll try to give them a second life. The green influencer Andrea Grieco will inaugurate the event and he will record a podcast during the workshop. At 7pm an aperitivo/dinner will be offered to participants. The Workshop is reserved for 15 people: sign up!
- Saturday, 3rd of DecemberAt 4.30pm: creative textile packaging workshop “Creative & sustainable Christmas packaging” organized by Sfuso Diffuso, an association from Liguria, and held at the library ‘Il Delfino’, that will set up a green books corner for the occasion. At the end a happy hour offered to the participants by Bar Loft will take place. Participation is reserved to 20 people: sign up!
