(English below) Erasmus+ Role Model per la Sostenibilità: per il prossimo triennio, l’Università di Pavia è stata scelta come figura di riferimento nazionale per aver saputo valorizzare le opportunità offerte dal Programma Erasmus+ per eccellere nell’ambito della Mobilità Internazionale Sostenibile.
I Role Model sono figure di riferimento positive che hanno saputo valorizzare le opportunità offerte dal Programma Erasmus+ per eccellere negli studi, nel lavoro o in specifici ambiti.
Unipv si è distinta per iniziative legate alla sostenibilità. Dal 2021 ha attivato il progetto “TRANSIT – susTainable tRAvel for Unipv International mobiliTy” per l’assegnazione di incentivi economici per favorire viaggi internazionali sostenibili. Grazie a questo finanziamento, gli studenti Erasmus che utilizzano un mezzo sostenibile per raggiungere la destinazione assegnata (treno o bus) potranno godere di un ulteriore supporto pari a 100 euro oltre al classico contributo Erasmus.
Durante il Festival dell’Europa, svoltosi a Firenze (8-11 maggio), il nostro Ateneo ha condiviso la propria storia e i valori di environmental sustainability in un seminario che ha visto la partecipazione di oltre 100 istituti provenienti da 15 diversi paesi europei, con il desiderio di essere di ispirazione per il futuro.
In collaborazione con URS Toscana sono state scelte 10 scuole fiorentine che hanno ospitato una delegazione internazionale per raccontare la loro storia; a rappresentare Unipv è stata la studentessa Hiba El Ziani, iscritta al secondo anno di magistrale in Sviluppo Economico e Relazioni Internazionali e tirocinante presso la UOC Mobilità Internazionale, che ha condiviso la sua esperienza Erasmus con gli studenti dell’ISIS Galilei di Firenze:
“Perché partire in Erasmus?
Partire in Erasmus per conoscere: conoscere una cultura, un nuovo stile di vita, una nuova lingua o magari la lingua la consociamo già e questo ci porta al secondo punto che è
Partire in Erasmus per migliorare: migliorare le nostre competenze linguistiche, ma anche migliorare noi stessi. Uscirete dalla nostra comfort zone e sarete catapultati in un mondo nuovo e l’Erasmus ci aiuta a migliorare il modo in cui reagiamo alle situazioni nuove, che non sono famigliari, in cui magari inizialmente ci sentiamo a disagio. Ci permetterà quindi di migliorare anche la nostra personalità e il nostro carattere.
Partire in Erasmus per imparare ad adattarsi, quindi sviluppare uno spirito di adattamento. Perché il mondo è in continua evoluzione ed è necessario sapersi adattare e cambiare le proprie abitudini velocemente.
Partire perché aiuta a crescere: andrete a vivere settimane se non mesi in un paese straniero. Dovrete gestirvi voi autonomamente, dovrete gestire le vostre finanze e organizzare il vostro tempo e i vostri impegni.
Partire per fare nuove amicizie: dovrete uscire dagli schemi e incontrare persone nuove ma soprattutto persone diverse da voi. La diversità è la chiave. Non vi annoiate a incornare sempre le stesse persone?
Partire arricchisce il vostro curriculum: tornerete diversi, ed è importantissimo poter dimostrare cosa vi siete portati dietro, le vostre nuove competenze sono quelle che vi distingueranno dagli altri.”

Erasmus+ Role Model for Sustainability: for the next three years, the University of Pavia has been chosen as a national reference figure for having been able to exploit the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme and to excel in the Sustainable International Mobility field.
Role models are positive reference figures who have been able to exploit the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme to excel in studies, in work or in specific fields.
Unipv has distinguished itself for initiatives related to sustainability. From 2021 Unipv set up the project “TRANSIT – susTainable tRAvel for uNipv International mobiliTy” wuth the aim of increasing financial incentives to promote sustainable international travels. Thanks to this funding, Erasmus students who use a sustainable means of transports to reach ttheir destination (train or bus) will receive an extra amout of 100 euros on top of the Erasmus contribution.
During the Festival of Europe, held in Florence in the days 8-11 of May, our university shared its story and values on environmental sustainability in a seminar that hosted over 100 Institutes from 15 different European countries.

Unipv was represented by our student Hiba El Ziani, a second year M.A. student in Economic Development and International Relations and trainee at the International Mobility Office, who shared her Erasmus experience to the students of ISIS Galilei in Florence:
“Why should you go on Erasmus?
Going on Erasmus to learn and get knowledge: learning about a culture, a new lifestyle, a new language. Or maybe the language we already know needs improvement so this brings us to the second point
Going on Erasmus to improve: improve our language skills, but also improve ourselves. You will come out of your comfort zone and you will be thrown into a new world and Erasmus helps us to improve the way we react to new situations where maybe initially we feel uncomfortable. It will also allow us to improve our personality and our character.
Going on Erasmus to learn how to adapt, so to develop a spirit of adaptation. Because the world is constantly changing and you need to adapt and change your habits quickly to fit in.
Going on Erasmus because it will make you grow: you will go to live weeks or maybe months in a foreign country. You will have to manage yourself, your finances and organize your time and duties.
Going on Eramus to make new friends: you will have to get out of the box and meet new people. Above all people will be different from you and diversity is the key. Don’t you get bored meeting the same people everyday?
Going on Erasmus enriches your CV resume: you will come back as a different person, and it is very important to be able to show what you have brought with you, your new skills and competences are those that will distinguish you from others.”
