(English below – GEA, the Green Erasmus Area, is born) Dalla collaborazione tra l’Area Relazioni Internazionali, l’Office for Sustainable Actions e il Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra e dell’Ambiente dell’Università di Pavia, nasce GEA, la Green Erasmus Area, uno spazio verde pensato per essere a disposizione degli studenti dell’Università di Pavia.
GEA rappresenterà l’impegno dell’Ateneo sul delicato tema della mobilità internazionale sostenibile, e vorrà al tempo stesso aumentare la consapevolezza degli studenti in tal senso, in particolar modo sull’importanza delle scelte individuali e sui supporti, messi a disposizione dall’Ufficio Relazioni Internazionali, perché il viaggio green sia sempre più accessibile.
GEA sarà collocata alle spalle del Dipartimento di Matematica in corrispondenza dell’accesso da via Ferrata.
L’evento inaugurale si svolgerà il 1° dicembre 2021 dalle ore 14.30 alle ore 16.00, presso il Laboratorio Didattico al piano terra del Dipartimento di Matematica; a seguire, tempo permettendo, si svolgerà la piantumazione nell’area verde adiacente.

GEA, the Green Erasmus Area, is born
The International Relations Area, the Office for Sustainable Actions and the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences are glad to announce the launch of GEA, the Green Erasmus Area, a green space designed to be available to the students of the University of Pavia.
GEA will represent the University’s commitment to the delicate issue of sustainable international mobility, and will raise students’ awareness in this regard, especially on the importance of individual choices and on the supports made available by the International Relations Office, in order to make green travels increasingly accessible.
GEA will be located behind the Department of Mathematics at the entrance from via Ferrata.
The inaugural event will take place on 1st December from 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm, at the Didactic Laboratory (Laboratorio Didattico) on the ground floor of the Department of Mathematics; afterwards, weather permitting, the tree-planting ceremony will take place in the adjacent green area.
