Continuano gli appuntamenti della serie di webinar, Thriving after Massive Global Disruption, organizzati dall’Università di Strathclyde, ai quali collabora l’Università di Pavia, insieme a università da tutto il mondo, dal Canada e dagli Stati Uniti, dal Regno Unito e dall’Europa, dal Medio Oriente, da Hong Kong e dall’Estremo Oriente, per un’esperienza davvero globale. Martedì 30 giugno 2020 ci sarà il settimo webinar e Pavia ne sarà protagonista, Covid-19: una prospettiva di ricerca clinica. I nostri esperti discuteranno delle loro esperienze e alcune delle lezioni che hanno imparato in prima linea nella lotta contro il COVID-19.
Il professor Fausto Baldanti discuterà delle lezioni apprese dagli ospedali del nord Italia sulla neutralizzazione dell’attività del COVID-19 – in particolare diagnosi, epidemiologia e terapia. Successivamente sentiremo il professor Raffaele Bruno che esaminerà le caratteristiche cliniche nei pazienti infetti da COVID-19 e discuterà dell’equilibrio tra le risorse disponibili negli ospedali e il numero di pazienti che necessitavano di cure. Infine, la professoressa Silvia Priori parlerà dell’impatto del COVID-19 sul cuore, sia direttamente che indirettamente; parlerà anche dell’aumento delle morti verificatesi a causa della riluttanza dei pazienti ad andare in ospedale durante episodi di dolore toracico. Modererà la Prorettrice all’Internazionalizzazione, Prof.ssa Antonella Forlino.

During the webinar Professors from Pavia will discuss their experiences and some of the lessons they learned from the front line in the fight against COVID19.
Professor Fausto Baldanti will be discussing the lessons learned from hospitals in northern Italy about neutralizing COVID-19 activity – specifically diagnosis, epidemiology and treatment. Next we will hear from Professor Raffaele Bruno who will look at the clinical features in patients infected with COVID-19 and discuss the balance between the resources available in hospitals and the number of patients who needed treatment. Finally, Professor Silvia Priori will speak about the impact of COVID-19 on the heart – both directly and indirectly and how our understanding of the impacts has rapidly developed. She will also talk about the increase in deaths that have occurred because of patients’ reluctance to attend hospital during episodes of chest pain. Vicerector for International Relations, Professor Antonella Forlino, will chair.
