(English below) Aprile e maggio sono stati mesi ricchi per l’associazione ST.E. P ESN Pavia e per l’alleanza europea EC2U.
La “European Campus of City-University” (EC2U) è l’alleanza che riunisce sette università storiche europee che condividono una forte vocazione internazionale e allo stesso tempo un forte radicamento sul territorio, fattore che le rende università-città. ST.E. P ESN Pavia è un attivo partner associato che organizza attività per studenti in mobilità e non solo, che tramite i suoi eventi riesce a coinvolgere studenti provenienti da diversi paesi facilitando la loro socializzazione ed inclusione nella città.
Ad aprile ESN Pavia ha partecipato all’Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM) 2023, svoltosi a Bucarest, Romania, che ha riunito circa 900 studenti provenienti da tutta Europa. Organizzato da ESN Bucarest e sostenuto dalla Commissione europea, l’EGM ha offerto un’ampia gamma di sessioni e opportunità di networking per esplorare temi come la mobilità studentesca, la trasformazione digitale e l’internazionalizzazione. Durante l’evento i volontari di Pavia hanno presentato le opportunità di mobilità offerte dall’Università di Pavia, facendo particolare riferimento di EC2U.
Maggio è stato un mese molto importante per la sezione pavese di ESN che ha festeggiato il suo trentesimo anniversario attraverso una “Celebration Week”: una settimana di eventi svolti dal 9 al 13 maggio. EC2U ha invitato le altre università dell’alleanza a UNIPV proponendo un periodo di mobilità che ha dato la possibilità a 13 studenti e studentesse appartenenti alle università di Jena, Iasi, Turku e Poitiers, di partecipare a una serie di eventi pensati per loro, come la registrazione di un podcast, la partecipazione alla “Mobility Fair” e alla conferenza “Erasmus+: how can mobility change your life”, nonché a numerosi eventi sociali organizzati da ESN.
Nel periodo compreso tra il 22 e il 25 maggio, un gruppo di circa 115 studenti provenienti dalle sette università partner dell’Alleanza EC2U e dall’Università di Lviv (Ucraina), designata come partner associato strategico, ha partecipato con entusiasmo al 6° Forum EC2U tenutosi a Jena, in Germania, in concomitanza con la “Healthy Campus Summer School”. Anche in questo caso ESN Pavia è stata presente partecipando al Plenary Council e alle sessioni pubbliche del Forum su #SDG3), #SDG4) e #SDG11) avendo modo di confrontarsi con gli altri studenti, sezioni ESN e portare il punto di vista degli studenti all’alleanza.
Infine l’associazione ST.E.P. ESN Pavia ha partecipato alla Conferenza Annuale del Gruppo di Coimbra, ospitata dall’Università di Colonia dal 31 maggio al 2 giugno. Il Gruppo di Coimbra riunisce le università più antiche di Europa ed è una vibrante associazione articolata in 12 Gruppi di Lavoro (GdL). Il tema della conferenza di quest’anno è stato “Africa Meets Europe” e si sono discusse tematiche inerenti alla mobilità con l’Africa. ESN Pavia è stata coinvolta in particolare nella sessione “ESN local section-CG contact point” dove sono stati presentati due progetti: “Green Erasmus” ed “ESN Survey” oltre che discutere sulle relazioni di ESN con le università, Alleanze europee ed il Coimbra Group.

EC2U Alliance and ST.E. P ESN Pavia: many events for an increasingly European university campus
April and May were rich months for the association ST.E. P ESN Pavia and for the European alliance EC2U.
The “European Campus of City-University” (EC2U) is the alliance that brings together seven historic European universities that share a strong international vocation and at the same time strong roots in the territory, a factor that makes them city-universities. ST.E. P ESN Pavia is an active associated partner that organizes activities for students in mobility and beyond, which through its events manages to involve students from different countries facilitating their socialization and inclusion in the city.
In April, ESN Pavia participated in the Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM) 2023, held in Bucharest, Romania, which brought together about 900 students from all over Europe. Organized by ESN Bucharest and supported by the European Commission, the EGM offered a wide range of sessions and networking opportunities to explore topics such as student mobility, digital transformation and internationalization. During the event, Pavia volunteers presented the mobility opportunities offered by the University of Pavia, making particular reference to EC2U.
May was a very important month for the Pavia section of ESN that celebrated its Thirtieth anniversarythrough a “Celebration Week“: a week of events held from 9 to 13 May. EC2U invited the other universities of the alliance to UNIPV proposing a period of mobility that gave the possibility to 13 students belonging to the universities of Jena, Iasi, Turku and Poitiers, to participate in a series of events designed for them, such as the registration of a Podcast, the participation to the “Mobility Fair” and at the conference “Erasmus+: how can mobility change your life”, as well as numerous social events organized by ESN.
In the period between 22 and 25 May, a group of about 115 students from the seven partner universities of the EC2U Alliance and the University of Lviv (Ukraine), Designated as a strategic associate partner, it enthusiastically participated in the 6th EC2U Forum held in Jena, Germany, in conjunction with the “Healthy Campus Summer School“. Also, in this case ESN Pavia was present by participating in the Plenary Council and in the public sessions of the Forum on #SDG3), #SDG4) and #SDG11) having the opportunity to compare with other students, ESN sections and bring the students’ point of view to the alliance.
Finally, the association ST.E.P. ESN Pavia participated in the Annual Conference of the Coimbra Group, hosted by the University of Cologne from 31 May to 2 June. The Coimbra Group brings together the oldest universities in Europe and is a vibrant association divided into 12 Working Groups (WGs). The theme of this year’s conference was “Africa Meets Europe” and topics related to mobility with Africa were discussed. ESN Pavia was involved in the session “ESN local section-CG contact point” where two projects were presented: “Green Erasmus” and “ESN Survey” as well as discussing the relations of ESN with universities, European Alliances, and the Coimbra Group.
