(English below – Unipv at the Campus of European University with EC2U Project) Il 30 giugno, a conclusione del semestre francese della presidenza al Consiglio dell’Unione Europea, si è tenuta a Versailles (Francia) una giornata interamente dedicata alle 41 alleanze europee che vedono coinvolte più di 300 Università, tra cui Pavia partner di EC2U – European Campus of City-Universities.
L’obiettivo dell’evento “Campus of European University” è promuovere le alleanze tra università europee e la cooperazione transnazionale nei settori dell’istruzione superiore, della ricerca e dell’innovazione. Si inserisce nella strategia europea di potenziamento degli istituti di istruzione superiore per il futuro dell’Europa e si ispira alla raccomandazione del Consiglio sulla “costruzione di ponti per un’efficace cooperazione europea in materia di istruzione superiore”.
La delegazione di Unipv, composta dalla Prof.ssa Ilaria Poggiolini (leader del Work package 3 di EC2U – Connect Centre), Andrea Pichelli (Responsabile Centro Globec) e Alberto Forte (Referente dei Progetti internazionali per il Globec e coordinatore locale di EC2U), ha potuto confrontarsi con i colleghi delle altre alleanze e partecipare ai vari momenti di discussione utili per allineare i lavori con le strategie europee. È stato, inoltre, un momento per presentare al pubblico quanto svolto finora attraverso video e poster esposti allo stand dedicato alla nostra alleanza che ha visto l’affluenza di molti visitatori interessati al progetto.
“Partecipare a questi eventi è importante per ridurre il divario tra mondo istituzionale e società civile e rendersi conto dell’impatto che questi ambiziosi e innovativi progetti hanno sui cittadini. Le Alleanze Europee sono il futuro e hanno un grande potenziale nel contribuire a costruire l’identità europea, rafforzare il sentimento di appartenenza all’UE e diffondere i valori di democrazia e libertà di movimento” Alberto Forte.

On the 30th of June, at the end of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union’s French semester, an event dedicated to the 41 European alliances, which involves more than 300 Universities including the EC2U – European Campus of City-Universities partner Pavia, took place in Versailles (France).
The aim of the “Campus of European University” event is to promote alliances between the European universities and the transnational cooperation in the fields of higher education, research, and innovation. It is part of the European strategy for the higher education institutes’ development for Europe’s future and it draws inspiration from the Council recommendation on “building bridges for effective European higher education cooperation”.
The UNIPV delegation, composed of Professor Ilaria Poggiolini (Work package 3 di EC2U – Connect Centre leader), Andrea Pichelli (Globec Center manager) e Alberto Forte (International projects referee for Globec and EC2U local coordinator), could interact with colleagues from the other alliances and participate to different discussion sessions, that were helpful to align the activities with the European strategies. This was also an opportunity to show the public what has been done to this day, through videos and posters that were displayed at the stand dedicated to our alliance, which has encountered the interest of several visitors.

The European Alliances are the future and they have a great potential in contributing to building a European identity, strengthening the sense of belonging to the EU, and defending the values of democracy and freedom of movement” Alberto Forte.
