(English below) Mercoledì 27 ottobre 2021 inizia il terzo EC2U Forum ospitato presso l’Università di Salamanca.

The third EC2U Forum, hosted at the University of Salamanca, begins on Wednesday 27 October.

The European alliance “European Campus of City-University” (EC2U) brings together seven historic and multidisciplinary universities that share a strong international vocation and at the same time a strong local roots, a factor that makes them university-cities. The partner universities, in addition to Pavia, are: Coimbra (Portugal), Alexandru Ioan Cusa of Iasi (Romania), Friedrich Schiller of Jena (Germany), Poitiers (France), Salamanca (Spain) and Turku (Finland).

The alliance was born in November 2020 with the ambition to develop an innovative space, which would allow a fluid mobility between the partners, in a model of openness aimed at contributing to the overcoming of commonplaces on regional and national identities and to achieve a Europe more united. With this in mind, every six months EC2U organizes a Forum to promote dialogue on urgent issues in society, such as education, research, health and well-being, and the sharing of good practices.

The Salamanca forum will be the first event to give the EC2U Community the opportunity to meet in person. The Pavia delegation, led by the Pro-Rector for Internationalization Prof. Antonella Forlino, is made up of professors and staff from the University, involved in the various EC2U project activities, by representatives of the associated partners (the Municipality of Pavia, the S.T.E.P. ESN Pavia, the Technological Pole of Pavia, and the CIMEA center) and by five students of the University, selected on a merit basis, involvement in student, sports and non-profit associations. Thanks to the EC2U mobility grant, students belonging to the study areas of medicine, political science, humanities and economics will take part in the conferences and workshops dedicated to them.
