(English below) Al via il bando per le candidature al Master xAIM (eXplainable Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Management)!
Il programma del nuovo master online mira a creare un ambiente interdisciplinare in cui gli studenti vengono formati per lavorare all’intersezione tra data science, intelligenza artificiale e management sanitario.
Gli studenti impareranno i fondamenti di Machine Learning e Data Science in modo da poter gestire e analizzare dataset ampi, eterogenei e complessi, rappresentativi del settore sanitario. Verranno, inoltre, ripresi i fondamenti e le peculiarità del settore sanitario al fine di consentire l’approfondimento e l’interpretazione dei relativi dati e risultati.
L’intero programma porrà una forte attenzione allo stato dell’arte attuale e alle possibili future applicazioni dell’IA in ambito sanitario, poiché un obiettivo importante del programma del master è fornire conoscenze pratiche e capacità di applicare le competenze acquisite. Per completare il curriculum, ci sarà una forte enfasi sulle implicazioni etiche e sociali delle applicazioni di IA in sanità.
Il programma del master si compone di tre semestri, di cui i primi due prevedono tre insegnamenti obbligatori ciascuno e una selezione di corsi opzionali. Il terzo semestre è dedicato alla stesura della tesi di laurea. La lingua di insegnamento è l’inglese.
Il master è finanziato dal progetto xAIM, coordinato dall’Università di Pavia, in collaborazione con Goethe University (D), Keele University (UK), Leibniz University Hannover (D) e University of Ljubljana (SL).

The call for applications to the Master xAIM (eXplainable Artificial Intelligence in healthcare Management) is now open!
xAIM master’s program aims to create an interdisciplinary environment where students are trained to work at the intersection of Data Science, AI and Healthcare.
Students will learn the fundamentals of Machine Learning and Data Science so that they can handle and analyse large, heterogeneous and complex datasets representative of the healthcare sector.
Concepts from the health sector are taught to further their understanding and to enable them to interpret the data and results. The entire program will put a strong focus on the current state of the art and possible future AI applications in healthcare, as an important goal of the master’s program is to provide practical knowledge and the ability to apply the acquired skills. To complete the curriculum, there will be a strong emphasis on ethical and social implications of AI applications.
The master’s program consists of three semesters, of which the first two include three compulsory courses each and a selection of electives. The third semester is dedicated to writing the master’s thesis. The language of instruction is English.
The Master is financed by the xAIM Project, coordinated by the University of Pavia, cooperating with Goethe University (D), Keele University (UK), Leibniz University Hannover (D) and University of Ljubljana (SL).
