(English below) Il giorno 28 marzo 2022 si è tenuto presso la sede centrale dell’Università di Pavia l’evento Building Cooperation in cui i borsisti CICOPS (il CICOPS è la Commissione Internazionale Cooperazione per lo Sviluppo del Centro GLOBEC) presenti a Pavia hanno avuto il piacere di presentare i propri progetti di ricerca e condividere la propria esperienza con la comunità accademica.
Sono intervenuti il Prof. Gian Battista Parigi, Delegato del Rettore per la Cooperazione Internazionale e Presidente del CICOPS, la Prof. Maria Sassi, Vice-presidente CICOPS, e la Prof. Katarzyna Gromek-Broc, professoressa di diritto nel Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche e Sociali.
I primi a condividere la loro esperienza sono stati i tre ricercatori cubani dell’Universidad Central de las Villas: Yanelys Delgago Triana (borsa CICOPS 2022), Jorge Freddy Milian Gomez (borsa CICOPS 2022) e Beatriz Lorenzo Yera (borsa IILA 2022), ospiti della Prof. Gromek-Broc nel Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche e Sociali.
L’evento è proseguito con la presentazione della ricercatrice camerunense Katia Nchimi Nono (borsa CICOPS 2022) dell’Università di Yaoundé I, ospite del Prof. Lorenzo Malavasi nel Dipartimento di Chimica.
Hanno infine presentato i loro progetti due ricercatori CICOPS Ambassador, María de la Luz Medina Llamas (CICOPS 2020) dell’Università di Zacatecas Mexico e Yuri Antonio Díaz Fernández (CICOPS 2003), che hanno avuto la possibilità di proseguire la loro carriera accademica nel Dipartimento di Chimica dell’Università di Pavia grazie all’esperienza con la borsa CICOPS.
Durante l’incontro i ricercatori hanno avuto modo di confrontarsi sui propri progetti e sulla permanenza in Italia, condividendo esperienze, idee e suggerimenti.
L’incontro è stato anche un’ottima opportunità per rafforzare la rete dei CICOPS Fellow a Pavia e futuri CICOPS Ambassador nel mondo!

On 28 March 2022, the University of Pavia hosted the Building Cooperation event, where the CICOPS (International Commission for Cooperation and Development of the Center GLOBEC) fellows currently in Pavia had the opportunity to present their research projects and share their experience with the academic community. Chairs and moderators of the event were Prof. Gian Battista Parigi, Rector’s Delegate for International Cooperation and President of CICOPS, Prof. Maria Sassi, CICOPS Vice-President and Prof. Katarzyna Gromek-Broc, Professor of Law in the Department of Political and Social Sciences.
The first ones to share their experiences were the three Cuban researchers from the Universidad Central de las Villas: Yanelys Delgago Triana (CICOPS 2022 grant), Jorge Freddy Milian Gomez (CICOPS 2022 grant) and Beatriz Lorenzo Yera (IILA 2022 grant), guests of Prof. Gromek-Broc in the Department of Political and Social Sciences.
The event continued with the presentation of Cameroonian researcher Katia Nchimi Nono (CICOPS 2022 grant) from the University of Yaoundé I, hosted by Prof. Lorenzo Malavasi in the Department of Chemistry.
Finally, two CICOPS Ambassador presented their research projects, Maria de la Luz Medina Llamas (CICOPS 2020) from the University of Zacatecas Mexico and Yuri Antonio Diaz Fernandez (CICOPS 2003). They both had the opportunity to continue their academic career in the Department of Chemistry of the University of Pavia thanks to the experience with the CICOPS grant.
During the meeting, the researchers had the opportunity to discuss their projects and their stay in Italy, sharing their experiences, ideas and suggestions. The meeting was also an excellent opportunity to strengthen the network of CICOPS Fellows in Pavia and future CICOPS Ambassadors worldwide!
