L’Università di Stanford, in collaborazione con importanti consulenti del settore finanziario e con altre università (inclusa l’Università di Pavia), ha lanciato una ricerca intersettoriale, multiculturale e interdisciplinare focalizzata sui dilemmi etici della digitalizzazione del settore finanziario. Il team di ricerca include oltre 70 studenti provenienti da 22 paesi, di cui sei studenti dall’Università di Pavia, iscritti ai corsi PhD Psychology, Neuroscience and Data science e PhD Computational Mathematics and Decision Sciences.
I gruppi di lavoro procederanno online sulle piattaforme MSTeams / Zoom all’interno del progetto presso la Stanford University, con rappresentanti del settore finanziario e tecnologico e con accademici in un mix di classroom con relatori e sessioni di gruppo.
Il Kick–Off si è svolto lo scorso 8 aprile attraverso un workshop online, per lanciare il progetto, presentare i membri del team ed elaborare piani di lavoro per i gruppi.
Durante il workshop inaugurale è intervenuta anche la ProRettrice alle Relazioni Internazionali Prof.ssa Antonella Forlino.
Le prossime attività includeranno 3 classroom online con un focus su strumenti algoritmici e tecnologie nel settore finanziario, ricerche e interviste a tavolino, revisione e tutoraggio della leadership del progetto.

The Stanford University in collaboration with financial sector advisors and other universities (including the University of Pavia) is launching a cross-sector, multicultural, interdisciplinary research on the ethical dilemmas of digitizing the finance industry.
The team now includes over 70 students from 22 countries, including six students from the University of Pavia, enrolled in PhD Psychology, Neuroscience and Data science and PhD Computational Mathematics and Decision Sciences courses.
The Work Groups will work online on the MSTeams/Zoom platform in dialogue with the project at Stanford University, financial and tech sector representatives, and academics in a mix of classrooms (with speakers) and group sessions.
The Kick-Off took place on last April 8 as an online workshop, to launch the project, introduce team members, and elaborate work plans for groups.
The Pro-Rector for International Relations Prof. Antonella Forlino also took part in the workshop.
The next activities will include 3 online classrooms with a focus on algorithmic tools and tech in the financial sector, desk research and interviews, and review and mentoring of project leadership.
