L’evento fa parte della serie di webinar mensili “Security for Society” organizzati dal Politecnico di Milano (Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile e Ambientale) nell’ambito dell’Alleanza Universitaria della Via della Seta (UASR), di cui fa parte anche l’Università degli Studi di Pavia. I webinar “Security for Society” sono intesi come incontri di 2 ore, durante i quali un gruppo di esperti internazionali delle università UASR condividerà i loro progressi nella ricerca e risponderà alle domande dei loro colleghi e del pubblico.
La disponibilità di acqua rappresenta un diritto fondamentale dell’umanità, attualmente gravemente minacciata dalle azioni umane dannose e dai cambiamenti climatici. In questa sessione vengono presentati diversi scenari e strumenti di gestione per uno sviluppo sostenibile a livello mondiale.

The webinar “Water Security” is taking place on Wednesday 31 March, from 9.00 to 11.00 am CEST (3.00 to 5.00 pm Beijing Time). The event is part of the “Security for Society” series of monthly webinars organized by Politecnico di Milano (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering) within the framework of the University Alliance of the Silk Road (UASR) which also include the University of Pavia.
The webinars are intended as 2-hour meetings, during which a group of international experts from UASR universities will share their research advancements and answer questions from their colleagues and the audience.
Water availability represents a fundamental right of mankind. Now it is severely threatened by harmful human actions and climate changes. Different scenarios and management tools for worldwide sustainable development are presented in this session.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The event sees the participation of international experts and is open to everybody from UASR community.
