(English below) L’Università di Pavia parteciperà alla NAFSA, la più grande conferenza mondiale del settore International Education che si terrà a Washington, DC (USA) dal 30 maggio al 2 giugno 2023.
Unipv sarà rappresentata dal Prof. Axel Berkosfky (Delegato del Rettore per l’internazionalizzazione nel Far East) e dalla Dott.ssa Michela Cobelli (Responsabile della U.O.C. Mobilità Internazionale) all’interno del padiglione 1.501 “Study in Italy”.
Unitamente ad altri atenei italiani attraverso uno stand espositivo organizzato dall’Associazione Unitalia, CRUI e dal Ministero degli Esteri – Direzione Generale per la Diplomazia Pubblica e Culturale, Università e della Ricerca (MUR), lo staff del Servizio Relazioni Internazionali incontrerà le rappresentanze degli atenei più prestigiosi al mondo con l’obiettivo di per sviluppare nuove partnership, promuovere la propria offerta formativa, discutere in merito a nuove forme di sviluppo dell’internazionalizzazione, come accordi di scambio internazionale e programmi di Faculty Visiting, e per sviluppare percorsi educativi e di ricerca congiunti. Si tratta di un importantissimo veicolo per la promozione delle università italiane, che possono contribuire in modo determinante alla diplomazia scientifica e alla promozione del sistema paese.
L’Università di Pavia parteciperà, inoltre, “Crisis management: global perspectives for supporting international students”, prevista nella mattinata del 31 maggio e dove presenterà i risultati del progetto europeo “UNISAFE” che è stata identificata come una delle principali buone pratiche mondiali in campo della gestione della sicurazza dei partecipanti a periodi di mobilità all’estero, unitamente alla convenzione con il Ministero degli Affari Esteri che prevede una stretta collaborazione in ambito del progetto “Viaggiare Sicuri”.
La delegazione sarà, infine, ricevuta dall’Ambasciatrice Mariangela Zappia presso Villa Firenze, sede dell’Ambasciata d’Italia a Washington DC.

The University of Pavia will participate in NAFSA, the largest global conference in the field of International Education, which will take place in Washington, USA, from May 30th to June 2nd.
UniPV will be represented by Professor Axel Berkosfky (Delegate of the Rector for Internationalization in the Far East) and Ms. Michela Cobelli (Head of the International Mobility) at booth 1.501, “Study in Italy” pavilion.
Along with other Italian universities, through an exhibition booth organized by Unitalia Association, CRUI , and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the staff of the International Relations Office will meet representatives from the most prestigious universities in the world. The aim is to develop new partnerships, promote their educational paths, and discuss new forms of internationalization development, such as international exchange agreements, faculty visiting programs, and joint educational and research initiatives. This is an incredibly important opportunity for promoting Italian universities, which can significantly contribute to scientific diplomacy and the promotion of the country’s system.
The University of Pavia will also participate in the event “Crisis management: global perspectives for supporting international students,” scheduled for the morning of May 31st. They will present the results of the European project “UNISAFE,” which has been identified as one of the main global best practices in the field of managing the safety of participants in mobility periods abroad. Additionally, they will discuss the collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the “Travel Safely” project.
Finally, the delegation will be received by Ambassador Mariangela Zappia at Villa Firenze, the headquarters of the Italian Embassy in Washington, DC.
