(English below) L’Università di Pavia, all’interno dell’alleanza europea EC2U – European Campus of City-Universities, ospiterà, dal 6 all’8 giugno 2023 il PhD intensive programme su “Machine learning technique & text processing tools applied to the study of linguistic diversity & cultural perceptions”.
Il corso, organizzato in collaborazione con l’Università di Poitiers e l’Università di Turku, all’interno del virtual institute for Quality Education, si svolgerà nella cornice storica dell’Università di Pavia, e prevede lecture e workshop su digital linguistics machine learning, text processing tools, translation technologies. Non mancheranno inoltre attività culturali e di socialità con gli altri studenti EC2U e con la comunità dell’Università di Pavia.
Possono inviare candidatura docenti e studenti iscritti a corsi di dottorato presso una delle università dell’Alleanza EC2U. Saranno selezionati 3 studenti e 1 docente per ogni ateneo dell’Alleanza, che riceveranno una borsa di viaggio da EC2U (ad eccezione degli studenti selezionati dell’Università di Pavia, che potranno partecipare gratuitamente).

The University of Pavia, within the European alliance EC2U – European Campus of City-Universities, will host, from 6 to 8 June 2023, the PhD intensive program on “Machine learning technique & text processing tools applied to the study of linguistic diversity & cultural perceptions”.
The course, organized in collaboration with the University of Poitiers and the University of Turku, within the virtual institute for Quality Education, will take place in the historic setting of the University of Pavia, and includes lectures and workshops on digital linguistics machine learning, text processing tools, translation technologies. There will also be cultural and social activities with the other EC2U students and with the community of the University of Pavia.
Professors and PhD students enrolled at one of the universities of the EC2U Alliance can send applications. 3 students and 1 professor will be selected for each university of the Alliance, and will receive a travel grant from EC2U (with the exception of selected students from the University of Pavia, who will participate for free).
