(English below – EC2U Forum a Iasi : the voice of students) Si è appena conclusa la quinta edizione dell’ EC2U forum tenutasi a Iași in Romania presso l’università partner Alexandru Ioan Cuza dal 10 al 13 ottobre 2022.
Al Forum hanno partecipato professori, staff amministrativo, studenti, partner associati e società civile dei 7 atenei. La delegazione studentesca dell’Università di Pavia era composta da Roberto Soldi, Isabella Palumbo, Younes Bouzriba, Shoruk Hegab, Roberta Sangiovanni e Gabriele Marmonti. Gli studenti, provenienti da diverse facoltà dell’Ateneo pavese e attivi nel panorama sportivo/associativo della città, sono stati selezionati tra le 90 candidature ricevute.
Di seguito una loro testimonianza sull’esperienza:
Lo scopo del Forum è di favorire la mobilità, conoscenza e scambio di buone pratiche all’interno dell’alleanza EC2U formata da 7 università situate in Italia, Portogallo, Spagna, Francia, Germania, Romania e Finlandia. In questo contesto si cerca di stimolare il dibattito su tematiche di attualità che le università si impegnano a promuovere e utilizzare come spunto per migliorare la vita accademica anche grazie al coinvolgimento delle varie municipalità.
Abbiamo partecipato a diverse conferenze multidisciplinari basate sugli UNSDGs e trovato particolarmente utile la sessione pubblica “voice of students” in quanto da studenti abbiamo contribuito ad arricchire la conversazione e fornire la nostra prospettiva su argomenti da noi scelti: Gender Inequality, Green mobility, Circular economy e Diversity and inclusion. Vorremmo difatti proporre come spunto per successive edizioni di arricchire questo momento e implementare il contributo degli studenti negli argomenti trattati nel forum.
Coinvolgenti sono state anche le attività socio-culturali organizzate con la collaborazione della locale sezione ESN. Un talent show internazionale, una caccia al tesoro a squadre ed una cena con prodotti dei Paesi di provenienza delle otto università sono stati preziosi momenti di conoscenza, di approfondimento e di condivisione. Proprio su quest’ultimo evento, la cena internazionale, vogliamo soffermarci: il nostro gruppo ha portato con sé prodotti del territorio pavese, lombardo e italiano, offrendo ai partecipanti al Forum un buon esempio delle nostre eccellenze alimentari. Possiamo dire con certezza che tali prodotti hanno riscosso un certo successo e curiosità tra i nostri colleghi internazionali.
Vorremmo ringraziare tutte le associazioni coinvolte, in particolare ESN e gli studenti locali per l’impegno messo nell’organizzazione delle iniziative socioculturali che ci hanno permesso di conoscere la città, i partecipanti delle varie delegazioni e anche di formare amicizie internazionali. Infine, vorremmo ringraziare l’Università di Pavia per averci fornito questa opportunità unica dal grande valore accademico e umano.

EC2U Forum a Iasi : the voice of students
It has just finished the 5th edition of EC2U Forum, hosted by the university Alexandru Ioan Cuza in Iași between the 10th and the 13 of October.
Professors, students, administrative staff, association parties and civil representatives from all the seven universities took part in the event. The students selected by the university of Pavia were: Roberto Soldi, Isabella Palumbo, Younese Bouezrida, Shoruk Hagab, Roberta Sangiovanni e Gabriele Marmonti. This team has been selected between more than 90 applications spread over almost all the university degree programs. Diversity means strength for the association.
Coming back from Iasi they said:
The aim of the Forum is to incentivize student mobility, knowledge and ideas. Connecting Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Romania and Finland. In this fertile environment universities infuse their efforts in promoting lifestyle, student and workers health and cooperation with the government.
We participated in numerous classes based on the UNSDGs. We find the class “voice of students” really amazing because in this particular occasion we were called in action to take an active role in order to improve communication quality in fields like: gender equality, green mobility, circular economy and diversity inclusion. We would like to suggest this kind of format for the next edition too because it was so helpful for us.
Interesting and engaging have been all the activities organized with the collaboration of the local ESN organization: an international talent show, team treasure hunt and a diner based on typical food from all the eight participating country. All these activities have been precious moments for tightening our bond with each other. We’d like to spend some more words on the latter, the international dinner. We bought product from pavia and its region: Lombardy, but also from different parts of the entire Italy. We can definitely say that we showed to other participants our five star traditional foods, which generated curiosity and appreciation from our new international friends.
We would like to thanks all the participating association like: ESN for their effort in organizing sociocultural meetings and city tours, all the students for the bonds and new friendships we had the opportunity to find and last but not least the university of Pavia for the opportunity given to us that meant a lot from an academic and self-growth point of view.
