(English below – UNIPV leads BRIGHTS project – Bringing HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) Towards Sustainability) L’Università di Pavia è orgogliosa di essere nuovamente capofila di un progetto Europeo: BRIGHTS – Bringing HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) Towards Sustainability. L’ufficio GLOBEC (Center for Global and Strategic Engagement), promotore dell’iniziativa, coordinerà il progetto; questo verrà portato avanti in forte sinergia con l’ufficio OSA (Office for Sustainable Actions) e alcuni dipartimenti dell’Università.
BRIGHTS mira al raggiungimento di tre obiettivi:
- la realizzazione di corsi sugli UN SDGs;
- la definizione di metodologie didattiche innovative per l’insegnamento di tematiche di sostenibilità e legate all’Agenda 2030;
- la creazione di un handbook sulle best practices per lo stabilimento e gestione di uffici per la sostenibilità negli atenei.
Attraverso questo percorso, BRIGHTS intende contribuire a rafforzare e valorizzare il ruolo centrale delle università nel rispondere agli obiettivi dell’Agenda 2030 e del Green Deal.
Partner del progetto sono l’Università di Colonia, l’Università di Cipro e due partner tecnici: Reiss Romoli Srl, azienda di consulenza informatica, e GaragErasmus, prima rete professionale della Generazione Erasmus.
I lavori inizieranno ufficialmente durante il kick-off meeting, che si terrà a Pavia nei giorni 19 e 20 maggio e vedrà coinvolti tutti i partner del progetto in presenza. Parte delle attività del kick-off meeting verranno ospitate dal Collegio Ghislieri, partner associato del progetto.

UNIPV leads BRIGHTS project – Bringing HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) Towards Sustainability
The University of Pavia is the coordinator of the BRIGHTS project – Bringing HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) Towards Sustainability. The GLOBEC (Center for Global and Strategic Engagement) office, promoter of the initiative, will coordinate the project; this will be carried out in strong synergy with the OSA (Office for Sustainable Actions) office and several University departments.
BRIGHTS aims at achieving three objectives:
- the realisation of UN SDGs courses;
- the definition of innovative teaching methodologies for teaching sustainability and Agenda 2030-related topics;
- the creation of a handbook on best practices for the establishment and management of sustainability offices in universities.
In reaching these goals, BRIGHTS aims to contribute to boosting and valorizing the central role of HEIs in tackling the 2030 Agenda and the Green Deal objectives.
Partners of the project are the University of Cologne, the University of Cyprus and two technical partners: Reiss Romoli Srl, an information technology consultancy enterprise and GaragErasmus, the first professional network of the Erasmus Generation.
The activities will officially start during the kick-off meeting, which will take place in Pavia on 19 and 20 May and will involve all the partners in in-person meetings. Part of the activities of the kick-off meeting will be hosted by Collegio Ghislieri, associate partner of the project.
