(English below) Il 2 e 3 ottobre si è tenuto a Peschiera del Garda il secondo incontro annuale degli studenti della Piattaforma 2 del Progetto “Il Partenariato per la Conoscenza” (PfK – Partnership for Knowledge).
Il Progetto è un’iniziativa dell’Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS) che ha l’obiettivo di creare opportunità di alta formazione e di ricerca dedicate a giovani e, in parallelo, di fornire alla Cooperazione uno strumento per rafforzare il dialogo con il sistema universitario italiano.
L’Università di Pavia è capofila della Piattaforma 2 “Sanità e WASH”, coordinata dal Prof. Gian Battista Parigi, Presidente del CICOPS, la Commissione interna al GLOBEC, Center for Global Strategic Engagement, che si occupa di cooperazione internazionale.
Grazie al progetto, partito nell’anno accademico 2019/2020, sono state assegnate borse di studio a 18 studenti provenienti da paesi prioritari per la cooperazione internazionale, per la frequenza di corsi di Laurea Magistrale (biennali) e di Dottorato (triennali).
Gli studenti selezionati provengono dai seguenti paesi: Etiopia, Giordania, Pakistan, Palestina, Sudan e sono distribuiti presso le università partner dell’accordo: Università degli Studi di Pavia, Università degli Studi di Brescia, Università degli Studi di Parma, Università degli Studi di Torino, Università degli Studi di Trieste.
Fra gli studenti di Laurea Magistrale, due si sono già laureati ottenendo il massimo dei voti, mentre gli altri termineranno nei prossimi mesi. Gli studenti di dottorato completeranno il terzo e ultimo anno di corso.
Durante i due giorni di incontro gli studenti hanno potuto confrontarsi sul loro percorso accademico e sulla loro permanenza in Italia, condividendo le loro esperienze, idee e suggerimenti. L’incontro è stato anche una bellissima opportunità per conoscersi meglio e rafforzare la rete di alumni del Progetto PfK.

Second national meeting of the AICS project “Partnership for Knowledge” Platform 2 scholarship holders
On October 2nd and 3rd, “The Partnership for Knowledge” – Platform 2 – scholarship holders, took part in the second annual meeting which was held in Peschiera del Garda.
The Project is an initiative of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) which aims to create opportunities for higher education and research dedicated to young people and, in parallel, to provide the Cooperation with a tool to strengthen dialogue with the Italian university system.
The University of Pavia is the coordinator of the Platform 2 “Health and WASH”, coordinated by Prof. Gian Battista Parigi, President of CICOPS, the Committee of the Center for Global Strategic Engagement (GLOBEC) for International Cooperation.
Thanks to the project, which started in the academic year 2019/2020, scholarships were awarded to 18 students from priority countries for international cooperation, for the attendance of master’s degree (two-year) and doctoral (three-year) courses.
The selected students come from the following countries: Ethiopia, Jordan, Pakistan, Palestine, Sudan and are distributed at the partner universities of the agreement: University of Pavia, University of Brescia, University of Parma, University of Turin, University of Trieste.
Among the Master’s degree students, two have already graduated with full marks, while the others will finish in the coming months. Doctoral students will complete the third and final year of the program.
During the two days of meeting the students were able to discuss their academic career and their life in Italy, sharing their experiences, ideas and suggestions. The meeting was also a great opportunity to get to know each other better and strengthen the PfK Project alumni network.
