La professoressa Livia Visai del Dipartimento di Medicina Molecolare dell’Università degli Studi di Pavia, in collaborazione con il professor Michael Hust (Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germania), la professoressa Mireia Pelegrin (INSERM, Montpellier, France) e il professor Luca Varani (Institute for Research in Biomedicine, Bellinzona, Svizzera), ha organizzato la seconda edizione della conferenza internazionale “Immunotherapy for infectious diseases conference – Novel ways to fight pathogens” che avrà luogo a Stresa, sul Lago Maggiore, in Italia, dal 29 marzo al 1° aprile 2020 (https://www.idimmunotherapy.com/). A seguito del successo della prima conferenza internazionale sullo stesso argomento che si è tenuta a Galvestone (TX, USA) nel novembre del 2018, il comitato organizzatore della edizione organizzata in Italia ritiene importante creare una forte comunità scientifica su questo argomento per poter scambiare idee e applicazioni tecnologiche innovative tra università, centri di ricerca, industrie farmaceutiche e biotecnologiche.

I principali argomenti trattati nella Conferenza 2020 organizzata in Italia saranno:

  • Sviluppo di farmaci a base di anticorpi,
  • Nanomedicina contro le malattie infettive
  • Immunoterapia contro le malattie infettive emergenti
  • Immunoterapia contro le infezioni virali
  • Immunoterapia contro le infezioni batteriche
  • Sfide di produzione e normative
  • I principi della 3R nelle applicazioni biotecnologiche e mediche

Following the success of the first international conference on the same topic that was held in Galvestone (TX, USA) last November 2018, they are pursuing to create a strong community on immunotherapy for infectious diseases to exchange ideas and innovative technological applications between academia, research centers, small and large pharma and biotech.
