(English below – CRUI guidelines for safety when traveling abroad: UNIPV is a best practice in Italy) La Conferenza dei Rettori delle Università Italiane CRUI e il CUCS (Coordinamento Universitario per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo) hanno pubblicato le Linee guida per la sicurezza nelle missioni all’estero in zone a rischio geo-politico e socio-sanitario del personale delle Università, un documento che fornisce raccomandazioni per istituzioni, professori e staff amministrativo impegnati in missioni all’estero e per gli studenti in mobilità internazionale.
All’interno del documento, è stato menzionato anche il progetto Erasmus+ UNISAFE – Security and Safety of students and staff moving abroad, coordinato dalla UOC Mobilità Internazionale e dall’Ufficio GLOBEC (Centre for Global Strategic Engagement) dell’Università di Pavia. UNISAFE è citato tra i progetti più rilevanti che si occupano di protezione e sicurezza del personale di Istituti di Istruzione Superiore impegnato in missioni all’estero.
UNISAFE ha infatti come obiettivo quello di dotare gli Istituti di Istruzione Superiore di protocolli e strumenti pratici che garantiscano la sicurezza di studenti e personale durante la mobilità internazionale.
Grazie al progetto della durata di 3 anni, sono stati sviluppati, tra gli altri, due corsi e-learning, dedicati rispettivamente alla preparazione alla mobilità e a una migliore gestione della stessa da parte di tutti gli attori coinvolti, con l’obiettivo di sensibilizzare e approfondire aspetti e situazioni potenzialmente problematiche da gestire durante il periodo all’estero.

CRUI guidelines for safety when traveling abroad: UNIPV is a best practice in Italy
The CRUI association (Conference of Italian University Rectors) and the CUCS network (University Coordination for Development Cooperation) approved the Guidelines for safety and security of missions (business travels) abroad in areas at geo-political and socio-health risk, for University staff a document that provides recommendations for the lecturers and the administrative staff of universities engaged in business travels abroad and the students involved in international mobility.
In the guidelines published by CRUI, it has been mentioned also the Erasmus+ project UNISAFE – Security and Safety of students and staff moving abroad, coordinated by the International Relations area and the GLOBEC (Centre for Global Strategic Engagement) of Unipv.
Unisafe has been mentioned within the guidelines among the projects and activities dealing with the protection and safety of personnel engaged in business travels and work abroad.
In fact, the UNISAFE project aims at equipping HEIs with protocols and practical tools that guarantee the safety and security of the students and personnel during international mobility.
Thanks to the 3-year project, two e-learning courses have been developed, respectively dedicated to preparing the mobility and improving its management, with the aim of raising awareness and deepening issues and situations which may turn out to be potentially problematic to manage during the period abroad.
