(English below) Nel giorno 4 dicembre 2022 si è tenuto presso l’Hind Al-Husseini Arts College di Gerusalemme l’incontro internazionale di kick-off meeting del progetto “MOEBHIOS – Multi-attribute values’ OntologiEs to improve Built Heritage InformatiOn assessment in cluStered territories”.

Il progetto, risultato vincitore del bando competitivo Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Post-doctoral Global Fellowship 2021, è incentrato sullo studio del patrimonio costruito nei clustered territories del Medio Oriente, con attività di ricerca per la mappatura digitale e values assessment orientate a una strategia di validazione di sistemi geografici informativi declinati sul Cultural Heritage in programmi di sviluppo.

Il progetto, assegnato dal programma MSCA alla dott.ssa Raffaella De Marco quale Principal Investigator del progetto al Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile e Architettura dell’Università di Pavia, è stato avviato dallo scorso 1 ottobre 2022, sviluppando sinergie di ricerca e collaborazione tra l’Università di Pavia (coordinatore), Al-Quds University di Gerusalemme e European University Viadrina di Frankfurt Oder.

Al kick-off meeting hanno partecipato professori e ricercatori delle università partner, che supporteranno le attività di ricerca e mobilità del progetto nel ruolo di supervisor internazionali: prof. Yara Saifi (Al-Quds University), prof. Izabella Parowicz (European University Viadrina), prof. Sandro Parrinello, prof. Francesca Picchio e prof. Massimiliano Savorra (Università di Pavia).

Durante il meeting, sono state discusse e pianificate le attività dei prossimi mesi del progetto, concentrate sulla documentazione dei siti tra Betlemme, Gerusalemme e Hebron. Le attività sul campo, coordinate dalla Al-Quds University attraverso il Department of Architectural Engineering, saranno orientate alla ricognizione del patrimonio architettonico esistente e del legame socio-culturale mantenuto dalle comunità locali rispetto alla conservazione e valorizzazione dei siti. In tale quadro, la ricerca sarà integrata attraverso l’European University Viadrina e la Chair of Strategies for European Cultural Heritage per la proiezione socio-economica di strategie in ambito europeo sul Cultural Heritage locale e dall’Università di Pavia, attraverso il laboratorio di ricerca e didattica DAda-LAB. del DICAr, nello sviluppo di metodi di documentazione digitale e rappresentazione 3D alla scala territoriale.

Nel prossimo mese saranno lanciati i canali social e media legati al progetto, attraverso i quali saranno diffusi aggiornamenti e contenuti relativi alle attività e ai temi di ricerca dei prossimi 3 anni.

International Kick-off Meeting of the MSCA European Project “MOEBHIOS”

On December 4th, 2022, the international Kick-off meeting of the project “MOEBHIOS – Multi-attribute values’ OntologiEs to improve Built Heritage InformatiOn assessment in cluStered territories” was held at the Hind Al-Husseini Arts College in Jerusalem.

The project, winner of the competitive call Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Post-doctoral Global Fellowship 2021, is focused on the study of built heritage in clustered territories in the Middle East, with research activities for digital mapping and values assessment oriented towards a validation strategy of geographic information systems for Cultural Heritage in development programmes.

The project, assigned by the MSCA programme to Dr. Raffaella De Marco as Principal Investigator for the project at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the University of Pavia, started on October 1st, 2022, developing research synergies and collaboration between the University of Pavia (coordinator), Al-Quds University in Jerusalem and European University Viadrina in Frankfurt Oder.

The kick-off meeting was attended by professors and researchers from the partner universities, who will support the project’s research and mobility activities in the role of International Supervisors: Prof. Yara Saifi (Al-Quds University), Prof. Izabella Parowicz (European University Viadrina), Prof. Sandro Parrinello, Prof. Francesca Picchio and Prof. Massimiliano Savorra (University of Pavia).

During the meeting, the activities of the next months of the project were discussed and planned, focusing on the documentation of the sites between Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Hebron. The field activities, coordinated by Al-Quds University through the Department of Architectural Engineering, will be oriented towards surveying the existing architectural heritage, and the socio-cultural values maintained by the local communities with respect to the preservation and enhancement of the sites. In this framework, the research will be integrated through the European University Viadrina and the Chair of Strategies for European Cultural Heritage for the socio-economic projection of strategies in the European context on local cultural heritage, and by the University of Pavia through the DAda-LAB. research and teaching laboratory of the DICAr in the development of digital documentation and 3D representation methods at the territorial scale.

In the coming month, the project’s social and media channels will be launched, through which updates and content on the activities and research topics of the next three years will be disseminated.
