L’Università di Pavia aderisce all’iniziativa promossa dal team di giovani che gestisce la 16° Conferenza delle Nazioni Unite sul Cambiamento Climatico (COY16) e invita i propri iscritti a contribuire alla “Dichiarazione degli Studenti” del nostro Ateneo.
La dichiarazione deve fornire il punto di vista dei giovani sul cambiamento climatico e sarà presentata durante la Conferenza delle Parti (COP 26) di Glasgow, insieme ai documenti presentati dalle altre università.
Le dichiarazioni, incentrate sul cambiamento climatico, devono includere il seguente contenuto:
Preambolo/Introduzione
- Perché la vostra organizzazione o istituzione sta facendo questa dichiarazione;
- Perché la vostra organizzazione o istituzione merita una voce su questi temi (dovresti essere sicuro di identificare quale sia questa voce/da quale prospettiva provenga).
Contesto/motivazione
- Includere una sintesi delle condizioni ambientali e degli impatti del cambiamento climatico nella vostra comunità, regione e paese nel suo complesso;
- Individuare le questioni, le lacune e le sfide specifiche della governance nazionale/regionale e/o degli sforzi per affrontare l’impatto ambientale nella vostra comunità;
- Fare riferimento al più ampio movimento/comunità globale (ad es. YOUNGO) di cui si fa parte (per aggiungere credibilità/peso).
Impegno
- Chiarire cosa si vorrebbe vedere concretizzarsi per affrontare questi problemi;
- Indicare il tempo entro cui ciò dovrebbe essere realizzato e le conseguenze del mancato raggiungimento dell’obiettivo entro tale quadro;
- È possibile aggiungere quali impegni personali la vostra organizzazione / giovani nella vostra comunità stanno mettendo in atto.
Per partecipare al gruppo di lavoro di Unipv è necessario compilare il Google form entro domenica 25 luglio, h. 23:59. L’OSA – Office for Sustainable Actions raccoglierà le iscrizioni e procederà alla costituzione del team.

The University of Pavia joins the initiative promoted by the 16th Conference of Young People and invites students to contribute to the “Students Statement” of our University.
The statement has to provide the point of view of young people on climate change and it will be presented during the Conference of Parties (COP 26) of Glasgow, jointly with the documents submitted by other universities.
The statements, focused on climate change, have to include the following content:
Preamble/Introduction
- Why your organization or institution is making this statement;
- Why your organization or institution deserves a voice on these issues (you should be sure to identify what that voice is/what perspective you are coming from e.g. indigenous youth, university educated, frontline community etc.).
Background/Rationale
- Include a summary of environmental conditions and impacts of climate change in your community, region and country as a whole;
- Identify the specific issues, gaps and challenges in national/regional governance and/or in efforts to address environmental impacts in your community;
- Reference to the wider global movement/community (e.g. YOUNGO) you are part of (to add credibility/weight).
Commitment
- Make clear what you want to see happen to address these issues;
- Include the time within which this should be accomplished and the consequences of not reaching the goal within that frame;
- You can add what personal commitments your organisation / youth in your community are making.
To participate in the working group of UniPv you have to fill out the Google Form by Sunday 25th July, h. 23:59. The Office for Sustainable Actions will collect the inscriptions and will proceed to get the team together.
